About GLMX

Great Lakes Motocross was created in order to build professionally run amateur motocross series. Why? Because no matter how good tracks and events are, they're better when they're part of a great series. Michigan has some of the best tracks in the country, and the great lakes region has some of the best racers and families! It’s our mission to make the most of the tracks, bringing attention to the racers and events. By pulling together tracks with similar programs and goals, we have a combination that’s attractive to the OEMs, industry companies and racers.

What's different about GLMX? We pledge to put your membership money into the GLMX motocross series! Other than series administrative costs (those cool cards and the machine to print them aren't cheap), your membership fees are being used to make the GLMX events better and to bring better awards and benefits to the racers. Series advertising, an up-to-date web site with photos and race coverage, points posted on Mondays and Tuesdays (yes, 1 or 2 days after the races!) are just some of the things you've already seen.

Does that mean your membership dues are paying expenses promoters used to pay? NO! The GLMX promoters have stepped up with new registration systems, and they too are contributing to the awards banquet fund (as they always have). The difference is that a big part of your membership fees will also go to the banquet fund. That's something new and different, and it's allowing us to multiply the season awards by two, with two bike series and two ATV series. The 2009 awards banquet will be bigger and better than we've ever produced. That's our pledge to you.

Have a safe, fun and successful 2009 racing season!
