The Soaring Eagle Hotel & Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan welcomes
the Great Lakes Motocross 2010 Awards Banquet Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010!

Doors open at 5pm Saturday; dinner at 6pm. We'll open the doors for after-dinner tickets at approximately 7:15.

RIDERS MEETING! Please join us for an open meeting Sunday morning at 9am. The Soaring Eagle will have a room available - we'll post it as soon as we know which room. We'll be discussing class, points, rule changes, schedule and plans for 2011. Bring your input and questions!

Jacket & fleece orders are in process until Wednesday, Dec. 1. We ordered a few extras in each size. The extras will be allocated according to when we receive your size. You can submit the form online, or email your name, class, place and size to info@greatlakesmx.com. The embroidery will be done and jackets shipped on Wednesday.

The banquet ticket deadline has passed; we had to turn in the food count Tuesday afternoon. After-dinner tickets are available in advance and at the door. If you don't buy in advance we'll be guessing how many chairs to set up. So if you buy at the door, you're taking your chance that we guess right! If you buy in advance you'll be guaranted that a seat is waiting for you Saturday. Take a look at the After-Dinner ticket order form; email the information from the form and send a Paypal payment to info@greatlakesmx.com. Please don't mail any order forms after Tuesday. We're leaving Friday for the Soaring Eagle and may not get your order in the mail in time.

Soaring Eagle Rooms:
For reservations, phone 1-877-232-4532. Ask for the GLMX room block. The block rate applies for Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4.
Room rate is $139 (+ tax) which includes 2 adults and children 12 & under. Additional charge of $10 per person age 13 & up.
Cutoff date for the GLMX rate is November 12. No exceptions; this is hotel policy and beyond GLMX control.

We learned from the banquet last year that the food stations took too much time for such a large crowd. The buffet is a little more expensive, but should work much better for the GLMX group. We chose the least expensive buffet available and are charging you only what the hotel charges for the food and service per person; GLMX is picking up the tab for the banquet facility, which is a much larger room this year.

Banquet Ticket Choices:
Adult dinner buffet - $36. Kids dinner buffet (ages 5 through 14) - $18. Kids meal (up to age 14) - $18.

The following foods will be on the dinner buffet:

Kids Meal includes Chicken Fingers, French fries, Mac & Cheese and a Jell-O cup for dessert.

Soft drinks are complimentary during dinner; cash bar will be open after dinner.

Cash bar includes soft drinks, beer, wine and liquors. Pricing for common selections:

$5.00 - Domestic beer (Miller Lite, Bud, Bud Light, PBR, Coors Light, Sharps NA)
$5.50 - Premium/Imported beer (Labatts, Labatts Light, Michelob Ultra, Heineken, Corona, Killians, Mike's Lemonade, Guinness Draught)
$4.00 - Wine by the glass
$5.50 - Absolute mixed drink

The Soaring Eagle has a "Syber Quest" arcade, plus a "Kids Quest" supervised play area for younger kids.
Hotel pool is open to families from 9am-9pm, and to adults only from 6-9am and 9pm-12am. All children (under 18) must have an adult with them while using the pool.
We cannot bring our own food or beverages into the banquet hall.
All public areas in the hotel and casino are on the video surveillance system and monitored by hotel security. Children (under 18) may not be on the gambling floor.

AWARDS INFORMATION:
If you have an award coming, YOU MUST TELL US YOUR SIZE BY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2. It's election day ... easy to remember!

In this economy, suppliers don't stock a lot of product. We have to order early while there are still good choices and plenty of product available.
We'll order awards for anyone who has earned them, but we will not order jackets and sweatshirts unless we have your size.
Jackets and sweatshirts cannot be ordered after the banquet. So don't miss out on an award you've earned! Send us your size.
You can send it now, even if you're not sure if you have an award coming. Send your size, just in case!
If you're not attending the banquet, please try to have someone pick up your awards at the banquet.
