The 2009 racing season will be split into 2 bike series and 1 ATV series.
Our goal is to give everyone a series they can follow, whether they want
to race every weekend, or just hit a few events. The first bike series is
the Great Lakes MX Michigan Mafia Championship series, running April 4 through
July 26. Champions will be crowned and top finishers will be awarded at
the Great Lakes awards banquet in December. To reward those riders who want
to compete at the highest level, riders can earn Great Lakes MX points at
the Loretta Lynns Mideast Amateur and Youth Regional Qualifiers. We'll take
care of getting the race results and give you your points - you don't have
to do anything extra.
Once the spring/summer series finishes up, we'll start right in to the Great
Lakes MX Fall Championship series for bike classes. Every rider is starting
over with zero points. This series runs August 1 through November 1 and
will be awarded separately at the banquet in December.
One big awards night for all the Great Lakes
racers! We'd like to welcome the ATV racing families to the Great Lakes
MX banquet in December, where the ATV Championship series and ATV Challenge series top finishers
will also be awarded. Click the Great Lakes ATV MX logo on the home page
for more ATV-specific information.
NEW! All series points will be paid PER MOTO! Win the first moto and DNF the second, and that win gets applied to your series points. Each series will count the best XX number of motos, leaving you plenty of throw-aways for missed weekends and bad finishes.
2/18/09
(Best 24 motos count toward overall series finish position.)
